He is also a former Perak assistant director of Town and Country Planning Department (Jabatan Perancangan Bandar Dan Desa Perak). He studied urban planning at Universiti Teknologi Mara (Institut Teknologi Mara) and further his study in bachelor degree in urban planning at Universiti Teknologi Malaysia. He made history when become the first Orang Asli graduated in Bachelor Degree (Hons) of Urban Planning from Universiti Teknologi Malaysia in 1987. He then further his study at Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia, where he obtain his Master of Philosopy in Development Science. He is currently furthering his study at Ph.D level at Universiti Sains Malaysia.
