Open eye injuries (OEIs) are a major cause of visual impairment and monocular blindness in the paediatric population. In addition to the cost of medical treatment, there are also functional consequences, with repercussions for school and, later, work. Surgery for OGDs is taking on a vital role in their management. We conducted a retrospective study at the Institut National d'Ophtalmologie de Tunis, including 135 children hospitalized for OGD between 2010 and 2021. The objectives of the study were to determine the visual outcomes of OCT surgery in children and to analyze the prognostic factors of OCT in the pediatric population.
