Bol Romina Houshmand (born July 16, 1994) is an Iranian poet, songwriter, and multidisciplinary artist whose work bridges the worlds of literature, visual art, and performance. Born and raised in Tehran, she began writing poetry at a young age, developing a voice that merges Persian lyricism with a modern, introspective sensibility. She holds a Bachelor's degree in Architecture from the University of Tehran and a Master's degree in Design from the University of Gothenburg in Sweden-a journey that profoundly shaped her artistic vision. The tension between structure and emotion, place and displacement, is central to her creative universe.Beyond poetry, Romina is deeply involved in dance and performing arts, where movement and rhythm become extensions of her poetic language. Her multidisciplinary approach reflects a lifelong search for expression beyond words-through body, sound, and silence. Her debut book, Mano Bebar Darya ("Take Me to the Sea"), is a collection of lyrical writings born from her third decade of life, tracing tides of love, exile, and awakening. With Dar Abad (Somewhere Called Home), she continues this exploration, delving deeper into the themes of memory, belonging, solitude, and the fragile beauty of being human.Today, Romina lives and creates in Gothenburg, Sweden, where she continues to write, perform, and shape art that resonates across cultures-a voice suspended between worlds, yet deeply at home in poetry.
