Tales from the Tracks

The profession of working on a railroad is a high-paying,yet quiet and, at times, stressful job. In other words, mostpeople do not hear about the railroad workers like onedoes when it's a doctor or a lawyer's position. However, Ihad the pleasure of working with drivers, engineers, andconductors of a railroad company. They were some of themore interesting people that I've ever met. Armed withsome fun ideas about life, their private opinions, and theirmore hilarious stories to tell; the subject of writing a bookcame up and things just sort of fell into place.These stories are told by the crews, in their voice. It wasfun to write as I was able catch their individual tones andpersonalities. I truly hope you nd yourself laughing alongthe way as much as I did while being there with the menfolk.
