Tales out of school is the story of a young teacher as he embarks on his career as an elementary educator in the 1970's. Marc Robertson, a confused elementary education major, is scheduled to graduate from Kent State University when the May 4, 1970, campus shootings shatter the nation. Through a stroke of luck, he is offered a temporary position teaching sixth grade at Walnut Creek Elementary School in the heart of Amish country Ohio.
