Tangled Threads of War

The shadow of the Second World War is cast across Alsace, France, and the Ulrich family has been scattered to the winds. Cecilia, fresh out of school and starting an apprenticeship in Strasbourg, finds herself helping the Resistance with her mentor while balancing the attentions of an admittedly handsome Nazi officer. With one brother a refugee in England and another scouting for the Maquis, Cecilia desperately tries to keep track of the people she loves as she and her family discover how complicated the brutalities of war are about to make their lives. Even if all of them make it home, somehow, to sit around the same kitchen table, how can anything ever be the same again?
