Tarnished Sterling: Freedom Isn't Free

Representative Preston Sterling has been a thorn in the side of the corrupt President since his election a year ago. The President isn't one to take criticism well. He will let nothing stand in the way of securing a third term as President. After exposing President Durbin's plan to cure homelessness by placing the unhoused in unoccupied homes of unwilling homeowners, the President is outraged. He hatches a plan to smear Sterling's reputation, send him to prison, and guarantee the President's legacy. The President directs the FBI and the Justice Department to falsify charges against Sterling so heinous and so outrageous that the public just might believe they are true. Abandoned by his wife, his financial donors and the public, Sterling finds himself on the verge of defeat. But Sterling has an ace up his sleeve. A secret defense he hid from everyone including his attorney, if Sterling can make it work, and if the President doesn't kill him first. Sterling soon finds that the President's corruption knows now limits as he orders the dismantling of the judicial and legislative branches. Will this be the way our nation succumbs to autocracy or can Sterling save America?
