The monograph by Y.V. Protasova, V.A. Nemtinov, V.A. Parskov "Information support for decision making in the process of technological setup and maintenance of CNC milling machines of milling group" is recommended for publication in the open press with the stamp "Recommended by the Scientific and Technical Council of FGBOU VO "Tambov State Technical University" (Tambov, Russia).This work is devoted to the development of information-logical models designed to support decision-making in the process of technological setup and maintenance of CNC milling machines. The proposed approach based on the integration of heterogeneous knowledge and data from all stakeholders (personnel, service, manufacturer) and systems (automatic alarms, documentation) forms a holistic view and allows to increase the efficiency of the maintenance management system. Proper application of the presented models helps to improve the quality of the finished part, reduce scrap, increase shift productivity and reduce downtime due to technical reasons.
