The 1st District covered the counties of: Davidson, Dickson, Jackson, Montgomery, Robertson, Rutherford, Smith, Sumner, White, Williamson and Wilson. There are 9 location books for the 1st Surveyor's District. Created in 1806, this district followed the same borders as the Military District created in North Carolina in 1782. This book covers 4,104 locations of grants & warrants across the various counties mentioned above.
