This retrospective investigation spanning five years, from 2018 to 2022, has highlighted the favorable impact of the Apulian Regional Telecardiology System on the correct application of the triage color code for non-medicalized 118 emergency medical service units (i.e., those with only a nurse on board) responding to calls for non-traumatic chest pain.This retrospective investigation has also prompted a serious reflection on the evolving healthcare landscape and the role of Information and Communication Technology, particularly in the field of territorial emergency medicine, where the time factor can indeed mean the difference between a person's life and death.
