the African Union and 'New Wars': Case of Somalia: From Organisation Unity to regional organisations in Africa

My book examines the African Union and its approach to 'new wars', using Somalia as a case study. In the theoretical section, I explore the concept of 'new wars' and conduct a policy analysis of how the African Union deals with 'new wars' in general and, specifically, in the case of Somalia, and whether this approach leads to solutions. At the beginning of the book, the emergence of the African Union from its predecessor organisation, the Organisation of African Unity, is discussed, and the changes that have taken place in relation to the 'new wars' are highlighted. It also explains how the Organisation of African Unity, and later the African Union, has addressed the issue of the 'new wars' in Africa. My book also examines the African Union's general approach to the 'new wars' in Africa. In particular, it examines the organs of the African Union that deal with the 'new wars', such as the African Union Peace and Security Council. In addition to these organs, the book also discusses Africa's regional organisations.
