The Art of Trusting Your Gut: a Murder Mystery With Real Life Twist

Sometimes things aren't as they appear. It's the role of the investigator to determine what's fact and what's circumstantial evidence, even when that evidence seems clear. The evidence never lies. Or does it? Detective John "Duke" Morrison built his lengthy police career with an "old school" approach, choosing to draw his own conclusions and letting the evidence support his theories. His gut had never failed him, even when everyone else in the precinct thought he was crazy. But his formula was challenged with the case of Rodney Milroe, a young man with a checkered path who seemingly had turned his life around while serving a sentence in prison. Morrison wanted to believe Milroe's story, about his life's transformation and his ambition to make a difference in the world. But when Milroe's blood showed up at the scene of a gruesome murder, even Morrison had to question his instincts. This book will make you question your own crime-solving instincts, as you cling to the hope that the young man will somehow be proved innocent, even when the evidence says otherwise.
