The Assyrian Prophecies

The Bible contains several prophecies about Assyria, including a prophecy of the re-emergence of Assyria in the Last Days (Isaiah 11:16, Isaiah 27:13, Isaiah 19:25). This includes the Three Nations Prophecy of Assyria, Egypt, and Israel. These three peoples will play a pivotal role in the fulfilment of Bible prophecy. In Isaiah 19:25, God promises a restoration of Assyria. In the Three Nations Prophecy, Assyria is called the Work of God's Hands, Egypt is called God's People, and Israel His inheritance. God says He will build a highway of peace, uniting these three nations. There are several other prophecies pertaining to Assyria in the Bible, which includes prophecies contained in books found only in the Aramaic Peshitta Bible, such as the Prophecy of Baruch. Assyrian Christians, and other Syriac-Aramaic Christians, have produced several prophetic texts and explanations of Biblical prophecies, such as the Prophecy of Ephraim and the Prophecy of Methodius, which have shaped the understanding of Biblical prophecy around the world over several centuries.
