the Auditor: Novel of Permafrost

Deep in the Russian tundra, something has been kept in the dark for a very long time.Boris Kozlov knows that when the Ministry of Finance sends an auditor to a ghost facility, it's a death sentence. To survive the audit, he hires a ruthless tracker, a man whose skills aren't just for navigating the woods-they're for navigating predators.Together, they infiltrate the nameless site, expecting to find evidence of state embezzlement. Instead, they find a nightmare of architecture and biology that defies explanation. The facility is a tomb of secrets, and the deeper they descend into its sub-levels, the more they realize that the site's "auditors" weren't meant to come back out. Now, with the tracker's instincts failing against an unnatural threat and the Ministry closing the loop, Boris must decide what is more dangerous: the truth he uncovered, or the thing that is hunting him through the halls.
