In addition, the volume contains a glossary and an index. The volume is divided into two major sections. First, there is a narrative section divided into logical chapters and, second, an annotated bibliography in which more than 500 entries are provided. These are given, in most instances, in alphabetical order by author's last name. The narrative portion describes, evaluates, assesses, qualifies, and integrates all of the entries into a whole, making the battle more understandable from British, German, and other perspectives.
