In the fifth season, the body of a university student is found in a canal lock and Jenn must navigate the victim's complicated family dynamics. As the team attempt to solve the case, they are hampered by staff shortages, while Jenn is also struggling to deal with the death of her father and the newfound presence of her mother in her family's daily life.
