The Body of Broadmoor

Broadmoor is the kind of place people believe cannot truly be harmed: a secluded Colorado town of white fences, quiet streets, and a church at its center. Even after tragedy leaves Pastor Stewart Young widowed and broken, Broadmoor still clings to the comforting illusion that faith, routine, and neighborly love can keep darkness at bay.But as Christmas closes in, something begins to move beneath the town's polished surface. A strange sickness spreads. Hunger and thirst take on a life of their own. Grief curls into obsession, devotion to fanaticism, and the body itself becomes uncertain ground. As old wounds open and private torments turn communal, Broadmoor's little church begins to feel less like a sanctuary than the mouth of something starved and waiting. In a town built on trust, the most terrifying revelation may not be that evil has arrived but that it has been welcomed in.
