They left this book out of the Bible. The New Testament quotes it anyway. The Book of Enoch is one of the most astonishing writings of the ancient world - a book the earliest Christians knew, the Ethiopian Bible still holds as Scripture, and the Apostle Jude quotes by name: "Behold, the Lord cometh with ten thousands of his saints, to execute judgment upon all" (Jude 14-15). Yet somewhere along the way, the Western church set it aside. Now you can read it for yourself. Written centuries before Christ and attributed to Enoch - the man who "walked with God, and was not, for God took him" - this ancient text opens a window heaven seemed to keep closed. Here are the Watchers, the angels who fell and took wives among men; the giants born of that union; Enoch's journeys through the heavens and the places of the dead; the coming judgment of the wicked and the reward of the righteous; and the mysterious Son of Man, the Elect One, enthroned in glory - a vision of the Messiah written long before Bethlehem. This edition presents the complete text in the classic R. H. Charles translation - and it does not stop there. Every chapter is opened with clear, reverent, verse-by-verse commentary and a closing reflection, drawing out the meaning, the biblical parallels, and how each passage points forward to Christ. Not a dry academic gloss, but a believing companion: history you can study, and wonder you can pray through. Documented. Preserved. And, at last, brought back into the light. Part of The Lost Scriptures series - the books the Western canon never adopted, restored with commentary for today's reader.
