the Breath: mightier than sword

A sweeping biblical fiction epic of faith, power, and redemption set in the turbulent first century before the fall of Jerusalem.Gaius Octavius Marcellinus is a Roman soldier who has won battles across the Empire, yet the fiercest war he fights is the one inside his own soul. Sent from the shores of Italy to the unrest of Judaea, he is drawn into a world he never expected: a land of prophets and miracles, of Roman power and Jewish hope, where a quiet carpenter called Yeshua and his followers are turning the known world upside down.As Marcellinus crosses paths with Luke, Paul, Peter, and Cornelius, and witnesses events that defy every explanation he has ever trusted, he must confront the mysterious presence he comes to call the Breath. This is a story of one man's long journey from doubt to belief, told against the dramatic backdrop of Jerusalem, Caesarea, Cyprus, Rome, and Ephesus in the decades that led to war.Perfect for readers of Christian historical fiction, biblical novels, and early church stories, The Breath blends meticulous historical detail with a deeply human tale of love, loss, loyalty, and grace. Drawing on the New Testament and the Roman world of the apostles, this is inspirational fiction for anyone who loves a richly imagined story of faith tested and found.
