the Case of Mystery Queen

The Case of the Mystery QueenWritten by kids, for kids - a Peek-A-Boo original story, perfect for readers ages 7-12.Mila has always been just an ordinary eleven-year-old - tall, cheerful, and never quite able to paint a straight line. At least, that's what she thought. When she stumbles across an old, secret piece of paper, Mila learns the truth: her parents were once King and Queen, and her funny, book-loving friend Josh has secretly been her protector all along. As Mila tries to make sense of her new secret, a wild school trip pulls her chaotic friend group even closer - through a scary moment at sea, a forgotten playground hiding a mysterious trap, an argument that sends grumpy Ferran storming off alone into the forest, and a surprising thief with his sights set on a crown that doesn't even exist.Full of laughter, loyal friends, and one seriously long braid, The Case of the Mystery Queen is a warm, funny adventure about what it really means to be royal - and why the best crowns are the ones your friends give you.Written entirely by the Peek-A-Boo Summer Graduates of 2026, this book is a joyful reminder of just how imaginative young writers can be.
