The Collection of Essays Xinglinzhai

The book features 523 calligraphic works that showcase the development of calligraphic expression and lyricism from its inception through growth and maturation. It introduces calligraphic styles, artistic concepts, calligraphic expression, and calligraphic lyricism. The book includes articles on simplified character cursive script, calligraphy restaurants, "vinegar-flavored" calligraphy, calligraphy and writing, calligraphy and visual arts, the modernity of calligraphy, natural and cultural beauty, the global spread of the Chinese language, and the authors' experiences in learning calligraphy. It presents five collections of calligraphic works: an initial exploration of line styles, practical applications of running and cursive scripts, an exhibition of lyrical works, an exhibition of expressive works, and an exhibition of exploratory works.
