The Continuity Problem

When physicist Archer Bancroft perfects human teleportation, he believes he has changed the world forever. Then his wife steps into the machine - and never comes out.The science is undisputed. Bancroft's invention doesn't move a person from one place to another. It destroys the original and reconstructs an identical human being somewhere else, down to the smallest measurable detail. So when the reconstruction fails, prosecutor Tiffany Choi faces a murder case unlike any in history.Did Archer Bancroft's wife die because the machine malfunctioned?Or had every person who ever used it already died?As a courtroom struggles with a question science can describe, but the law was never written to answer, evidence emerges suggesting the fatal failure may not have been an accident at all.The Continuity Problem is a gripping courtroom thriller about a technology that can transport anyone anywhere - and the horrifying possibility that the person who arrives isn't the person who left.
