Bol This book aims to make our modest contribution to expanding knowledge in the field of endogenous development for community self-development, with a focus on skills and leadership. However, as everyone knows, rapid changes in intervention approaches in the humanitarian and development sectors require NGOs to continually adapt. Nevertheless, the reality is that their staff often fall short in terms of performance-an obstacle that can, however, be overcome by implementing an appropriate skills development plan.It is this specific aspect that the present study examines, with the aim of demonstrating that NGOs and other non-profit organizations in the DRC struggle to recruit staff whose profiles align with the situation on the ground and with the evolution of their strategic priorities, even though, it must be acknowledged that this reality can be qualified for several reasons, which we will also highlight. This book proposes the development and implementation of a strategy to strengthen the capacities of this staff, which we believe is the best option to adopt and implement.
