The Crimson Veil of Magic

Elara Voss, a young woman from the village of Veylan, discovers that the magic believed to have vanished three centuries ago has chosen her as the guardian of the mysterious Crimson Veil, a magical barrier separating the mortal world from an ancient realm. After a strange red symbol appears on her hand and a mysterious mage named Kaelen Arwyn arrives to reveal that the veil is opening, Elara learns that her recurring dreams of a scarlet doorway were actually visions connected to her destiny and that a mysterious woman who looks exactly like her may hold the key to the truth. As forgotten magic begins returning to the world, Elara discovers that her father has been hiding knowledge of magic and that the veil's opening is not only bringing magic back but also releasing the ancient force responsible for destroying it centuries ago. Now Elara must uncover her family's hidden connection to the magical world, understand why the Crimson Veil chose her, and journey toward the mysterious doorway from her dreams before the returning darkness destroys the fragile world that has existed without magic for three hundred years.
