the Devils in Details

I was the illegitimate son of Geno Romano, thrust into a leadership role I never wanted. Disgraced and penniless, my family's legacy hung by a thread. A cold, calculating mind, I navigated a treacherous world, severing ties with my father's homophobic old guard and replacing them with a loyal crew I could trust. Reclaiming my family's power was non-negotiable, even if it meant burning bridges along the way. Enter Zephyr Kontos, an eccentric whirlwind hired to untangle the chaos left behind by Geno. Captivated by the young man's brilliance and beauty, I felt an intense pull toward him, a stark contrast to my usual ruthlessness. The chemistry between us crackled with sexual tension, but I knew Zephyr's presence could paint a target on his back. When Zephyr permitted our connection to deepen, my possessiveness kicked in, compelling me to protect the young man at all costs. Conflict brewed when my Uncle Alexios and cousin Theo challenged my authority, believing me too weak to lead. Alexios seethed at the thought of an illegitimate son in charge, while Theo's simmering obsession with Zephyr turned dangerous. When Alexios and Theo strike, I was forced to reveal my ruthlessness, proving that I was not just a pawn of the devil-I was the devil.
