The Drowned Carnival

In the rain-soaked town of Stormhaven, the past never stays buried-it rises with the tide. When four outcast teenagers sneak into the long-abandoned Pacific Paradise carnival during the worst storm in decades, they're chasing more than just legend. They're chasing gold tokens, escape, and a way out of a dying town poisoned by decades of industrial secrets. But the Drowned Carnival isn't empty. Something ancient and hungry waits beneath the black, oily floodwaters. A spectral entity born from guilt, chemical runoff, and forgotten sins-the Drowned Mother-has claimed the rotting Ferris wheel, the screaming carousel, and the souls of everyone who once sought joy there. As the storm surges and the carnival begins to wake, the friends quickly realize they aren't hunting treasure. The treasure is hunting them. Gripping, atmospheric, and emotionally raw, The Drowned Carnival is a haunting YA horror novel about trauma, inherited sins, and the terrifying courage it takes to drag the truth into the light. Perfect for fans of Stephen King, Kendare Blake, and The Twisted Ones, this chilling debut explores what happens when a town's darkest secrets finally refuse to stay drowned. Some places don't forget. Some waters don't forgive. And some carnivals never truly close.
