the Egg That Knew Names: A Cozy Fantasy of Winter Magic, Forgotten Names, and Things We Cannot Let Go: 2

It will not hatch. It will only tell you a name.Winter has closed over Mallowmere, and Wren Halberd's workshop smells of woodsmoke and rose-hip tea. Then the egg arrives - pale, perfect, and impossible. It isn't broken, so there's nothing to mend; yet it won't leave her be. Touch it, and it gives you a name. Sometimes a name you'd forgotten you were waiting for. Sometimes a name you've spent a lifetime keeping locked away.As Yule draws near and a blizzard strands a handful of neighbours together, the egg's quiet gift becomes something braver and harder: the chance, at last, to speak the names of the people they've lost. For readers who love gentle, emotional fantasy, winter and Yule comfort reads, and quiet stories about love, loss, and the things left unsaid.Book 2 of The Mallowmere Workshop - a cozy fantasy series you can read in any order.
