Camus 1, the work of the author of negativity, which legitimizes suicide as an escape from the absurdity of life, must absolutely be interpreted in the light of Camus 2, the work of positivity, which enshrines ad intra or metaphysical revolt as a response to the same vital reality. In other words, Albert Camus is a negator, a nihilist in the truest sense of the word, as long as we dwell on the dramatic conclusions of his negative work, whereas the essence of his revolt, according to which man must triumph over his destiny, however heavy it may be, lies in his positive work. The rebel, so to speak, is the person assimilated to a consciousness aware of his negation, and who, by taking charge of himself first mentally, then concretely, aims for self-realization. Roughly speaking, he must live according to the rhythm of his own destiny, re-recreating himself, given that the destiny suffered by others is alliening.
