Bol The four hundred years between the last prophet and the coming of Christ were never silent. In the caves above the Dead Sea, a community of watchmen kept the reckoning of time, guarded the Word, and waited for the Righteous One.The Essenes at Qumran carries the reader into the world of the Dead Sea Scrolls-the Teacher of Righteousness and the Wicked Priest, the calendar of sevens, and the covenant kept in the wilderness. Drawing Scripture together with the scrolls the desert preserved, this companion volume to The Sacred Clock shows how the silent years were a watch kept faithfully unto Christ, and how the witness of Qumran still speaks to all who wait for His appointed end.
