the Eternal Buddha : Volume 1: Prince and Seeker “A poetic retelling of journey from compassion to enlightenment

The Eternal Buddha is a lyrical and contemplative retelling of the Buddha's inner journey, from princely awakening to supreme enlightenment beneath the Bodhi Tree. More than a historical narrative, this work traces the evolution of consciousness itself-desire, renunciation, doubt, compassion, and final liberation-unfolding as a timeless human quest. Written in flowing free verse, the poem weaves nature, memory, philosophy, and silence into a single spiritual landscape. Trees become witnesses, suffering becomes inquiry, and enlightenment emerges not as conquest, but as remembrance. The Buddha here is not distant or idealized; he is profoundly human, wrestling with sorrow and longing before transcending them. This volume invites the reader not merely to observe the Buddha's awakening but to enter its stillness-to reflect, to question, and to glimpse the eternal light that lies within all beings.
