This book examines the economic development of the Republic of Armenia since the beginning of its independence and its transition towards a market economy. It analyses the current stage of Armenia's economic transformation and evaluates the country's economic relations with the European Union, including prospects for deeper integration and enhanced cooperation.A comparative study is conducted between the Armenian economy and that of Turkey, a current EU candidate country, in order to assess structural similarities and differences in relation to EU accession patterns. The analysis helps to position Armenia within a broader framework of European economic convergence. In addition, the study explores the economic potential of the South Caucasus region by considering a hypothetical scenario of simultaneous EU accession of Armenia, Azerbaijan, and Georgia. It assesses how such a development could influence regional economic dynamics, integration processes, and cooperation opportunities.Overall, the work provides a comprehensive overview of Armenia's economic trajectory, its external economic relations, and its potential role within the wider European integration context.
