the Evangelist at Well

Jesus' longest recorded conversation was with the Samaritan woman at the well. Rooted in biblical scholarship and archaeology, and filled with historically accurate illustrations, this children's book imagines her story from her perspective, starting as a young girl, through much loss and pain, to meeting Jesus, and beyond."Women's stories and lives in the Bible often go unheard. Jessi Rennekamp's book about the Samaritan woman fills this gap. She helps young readers understand how difficult life was in the ancient world -- and how amazing the Samaritan woman's story is! The Samaritan woman was a survivor, a wise and thoughtful conversation partner for Jesus, and an evangelist to her village. Young readers will meet an inspirational heroine in this book."-Caryn A.
