the Forgotten Gospel: Reimagining Leviticus and Story of Jesus

Leviticus may be the most neglected book in the Bible. Many Christians have come to assume it is obsolete-fulfilled by Jesus and no longer relevant to the life of faith. But what if that assumption is wrong?Sidelining Leviticus has not simply cost us a few Old Testament details. It has reshaped how we read the New Testament itself, often leaving us with a thinner gospel than Scripture presents. In The Forgotten Gospel, Brianna Tittel invites readers to recover a story we have largely forgotten. With clarity and approachability, she shows how rediscovering Leviticus restores the mission of Messiah, clarifies the apostles' teaching, and reframes God's unbreakable promises-all within the Jewish story that gives shape to the entire Bible.Far from optional, Leviticus is essential for:Knowing Jesus and the fullness of his mission Loving God and loving what he loves Understanding the gospel as Jesus, the apostles, and prophets proclaimed it Reading the whole Bible faithfully-Old and New Testament together Written for thoughtful readers rather than specialists, this book offers fresh insight into one of Scripture's most overlooked books-challenging assumptions, inviting deeper engagement, and pointing toward a more grounded, biblically rooted faith. If you have ever wondered why Leviticus matters-or sensed something missing in the way the gospel is often presented-The Forgotten Gospel uncovers what has been lost and points the way toward recovering the fullness of God's story.
