The Fortress Opens

What if a child who watched his parents struggle to afford medicine grew up and decided to redesign the system instead? At nine years old, Arya sits in a government hospital corridor and learns a lesson he will never forget: suffering is not always caused by a lack of solutions. Sometimes, it is caused by the way those solutions are designed, priced, and distributed.Years later, Arya returns to India with a revolutionary vision-and the ability to build it.From a small garage to a laboratory, from a handful of impossible ideas to the creation of the Fortress, Arya builds an organization unlike anything the world has seen. Its mission reaches far beyond medicine. It challenges the assumptions behind pricing, employment, healthcare, finance, and power itself. But changing the rules of a system has consequences. As the Fortress grows, pharmaceutical companies take notice. Governments begin asking questions. Markets react. And the people closest to Arya discover that building something extraordinary may be easier than dealing with what happens when the world finally understands what has been built. The Fortress Opens is the first volume of The Fortress Chronicles-a science-fiction saga about invention, family, ambition, responsibility, and the dangerous consequences of solving problems nobody else was willing to solve. The gate is open.
