This study examines how artificial intelligence is gendered in film and television, with a particular focus on female-coded AI characters. It argues that these representations often reproduce traditional gender stereotypes by portraying AI as submissive, service-oriented, and emotionally supportive. Drawing on feminist media theory, the book analyzes selected works such as Ex Machina, Her, Blade Runner 2049, and Westworld to explore how these portrayals reflect and reinforce broader societal norms. Through qualitative content analysis, the research connects fictional representations to real-world technologies like virtual assistants, highlighting their role in shaping perceptions of gender and power in the digital age. Ultimately, the study contributes to critical media and gender studies by advocating for more equitable and nuanced representations of AI.
