The Ghost I Live With

Some loves do not fade with time--they settle into us. In The Ghost I Live With, Ruth Meadows reflects on first love, memory, and the quiet ways the past continues to shape who we become. Through gentle, honest storytelling, she revisits a relationship that never truly left her--not as a wound, but as a presence carried forward through a full and complicated life. This is not a story about being stuck in the past. It is about moving forward while honoring what mattered. About promises kept, love remembered, and the understanding that grief and gratitude can exist side by side. Written with intimacy and restraint, this reflective memoir invites readers to consider their own ghosts--the people, places, and moments that formed the foundation of who they are today. For anyone who has loved deeply, lost quietly, and learned that some stories never end--they simply become part of us.
