The God I Met: Story of Shining Star Community Church

In this honest and powerful story, Reverend Edwin Lim shows what God can do through ordinary people who choose obedience over comfort. This book isn't a blueprint for building a church-it's a testimony to God's faithfulness and the unexpected ways He leads those willing to follow. Rev. Lim's journey begins as a young immigrant struggling to find his place in America. Everything changed when he encountered the living God in a deeply personal way. From there, his life took surprising turns-marked by grace, challenge, and transformation. He became a successful accountant and business owner, yet at age 49, he left it all behind to pursue God's calling and the vision that would become Shining Star Community Church. The stories in these pages-miraculous, challenging, and deeply human-show how God pursues and shapes His people. They reveal a church where every believer is called to serve as a minister, united in Christ, passionate about missions, and committed to raising the next generation to make a kingdom impact. This book invites you to listen for God's voice, trust His leading, and step into the purpose He has for your life. If you're seeking direction, renewal, or a clearer sense of calling, these pages will remind you that God can meet you exactly where you are.
