The Hero Dose, by Richard Carlston, answers very commonly asked questions such as; What is a hero dose? How is a hero dose different than just a good trip? Why is a hero dose not just about taking a big amount? Why is a hero dose not about seeking acknowledgement? In this beautiful and often chaotic world, we are constantly seeking meaning. We constantly misunderstand meaning. And yet we find ourselves seeking our own misunderstandings anyway. The Roman comedian Terence said, "Sine Cerere friget Venus." Without the hero dose, friget Venus. Without one's muses saying, "one step higher" the Venus of that person may freeze. Has the idea of a Hero, as Carlston asks, been almost completely lost in our congregational bench-sitting? The Hero Dose will appeal to readers curious as to, why we humans seek meaning. And, why our pineal glands seem to concoct and then to reluctantly dish out these 'ah ha's, ' these momentary drips, these cerebellar Brigadoons.
