This book presents a proposal for teaching the concept of inertia through a historical and experimental approach. The aim is to provide pupils with a more dynamic and interactive lesson, as well as meaningful learning of this content based on the evolution of ideas about motion and rest (from Aristotle to Newton) and the reproduction in the classroom (using low-cost materials) of the experiment devised by Galileo, presented in the book "Dialogue Concerning the Two Chief World Systems: Ptolemaic and Copernican" in the form of a dialogue between Salviati and Simplicio.
