A Guardian of St Winifred, Holy Well. The red stones at St Winifred Holy Well have started to disappear. As a result, the water spirit that dwells at St Winifred Holy Well is becoming weaker each day. If the red stones are not found before the Saint's Day, then the water spirit will pass over to the Otherworld forever. Mrs. Badger has seen many holy wells be destroyed. She does not want to see another water spirit disappear into the Otherworld. In order to solve the mystery, Mrs. Badger takes the reader on a journey exploring the history and folklore around St Winifred, environmental protection and the importance of community spirit.
