The Hourglass

The Hourglass is a malevolent force, created from darkness. It seeks the ruin of all every passing day, quietly and magically raging psychological warfare against the human race. Kai, a teenage girl who has lost memories, is burdened by dreams about a lady in red. In search for the truth about her past, she is drawn into the world of the Hourglass. New allies quickly emerge with diverse motivations: pride, a desire for justice, to protect ideals, to heal brokenness, and to find purpose. Their mission is to destroy the Hourglass-or face the world the Hourglass seeks to create, full of chaos, hopelessness, and death. With an adversary they can't even see coming, can they hope to succeed? - "Christina loads her often luxurious prose with heavy doses of righteousness and rectitude, and younger readers will no doubt be naturally drawn to the central themes of family, friends, and justice." - Kirkus Reviews
