The search for renewable sources is constant worldwide, and with population growth, the importance of using natural resources, reducing pollutants, and dependence on fossil fuels such as oil has increased. Oil refining releases various toxic components into the air, causing great harm to the environment, not to mention that it is not a renewable source. Thus, biodiesel emerges as an alternative to oil, as it is considered today to be the fuel of the future. It pollutes much less than fossil fuels, is a renewable source, reduces the emission of polluting gases, and, in accordance with the Kyoto Protocol and the guidelines of the Clean Development Mechanism (CDM), can sell carbon credits through the Prototype Carbon Fund (PCF). and the country can import less oil, not leaving our economy at the mercy of prices, in addition to promoting job creation and considerably increasing its cultivation area, adding value to family farming. Several countries already use this fuel, one of the pioneers being Germany, which sells pure biodiesel (B100) at its petrol stations.
