Bol The general objective of the study was to determine the impact of Kamiranzovu River on the rice farming, case study Kagano sector. The specific objectives are: To identify factors affecting rice production in Kamiranzovu valley. To explore the People's perceptions on the role of Kamiranzovu River to the rice farming. To outline the strategies to overcome the challenges of kamiranzovu rice production. This research used collected quantitative and qualitative data. The target population of this study were farmers of rice at Kamiranzovu valley who are in the cooperative called DUFATANYE Kagano and, staffs of Kagano sector include 112 rice farmers and the sample was 52 population who were selected from whole target population using random sampling technique, purposive sampling and stratified sampling method. For data collection the researcher used questionnaire and interview research as data collection technique and data processing methods which include editing, coding and tabulation. Based on the findings of the study it is concluded that Kamiranzovu river help the rice farmers to irrigate their rice farming, case study Kagano sector.
