In addition to the introduction and conclusion, our study is divided into three chapters. The first chapter deals with general considerations. As for the second chapter, which concerns the impact of the interests of great powers on the sovereignty of the DRC, we demonstrated Leopold II's recognition of the colony. On that same occasion, we discussed the 1885 Arab Anti-Slavery Conference and the means by which great powers exerted influence-including through Congolese statesmen, Rwanda and Uganda, the United Nations, and multinational corporations. We also examined the nature of the great powers' interests in terms of economic and strategic interests, cultural interests, and the consequences of the pursuit of these interests. The final chapter focused on mechanisms for consolidating the DRC's sovereignty in the face of the great powers' interests. We examined the strategies to be implemented to address the interests of major powers regarding the DRC's sovereignty.
