the King of Giants: Rise & Fall Bloodline Rebellion

Long before David stepped into the Valley of Elah, another story was unfolding. It was a story of towering warriors, ancient bloodlines and kingdoms that rose in defiance of the purposes of God. Their names echo through the pages of Scripture. The Nephilim. The Rephaim. The Anakim. The Emim. The Zamzummim. They were not isolated mysteries. They were part of a conflict that stretched across generations and culminated in one of the greatest victories recorded in the Bible. In The King of the Giants, Bishop George Bloomer follows the biblical trail from Genesis 6 to Goliath, uncovering the giants, the lands they occupied, the battles they fought and the kings and warriors who stood against them. Along the way, he reveals how these ancient conflicts illuminate God's unfolding plan of redemption and why the defeat of the giants was essential to the establishment of His covenant people. More than a historical investigation, this book exposes a spiritual reality that continues to shape the lives of believers today. The giants of Scripture point beyond themselves to the fears, strongholds and spiritual powers that still challenge God's people. The same God who brought down the giants of old still calls His people to stand in faith, confront impossible odds and walk in victory through the greater King who conquered them all.
