In the monograph on the extensive archive and source materials the sotsio- economic, political and cultural aspects of the mastery of North-Caucasian edge are examined by Russia. Are revealed historical theoretical prerequisites and factors of the origin of enlightenment in the North Caucasus, where diverse interactions of autochthonic ethnoses, based on their culture, which was been starting point in further formation and development of school formation and enlightenment thought, were main components. The latter became possible only after the connection of the North Caucasus to Russia and the subsequent policy of empire, which was being manifested in the formation of it as sufficient integral administrative region of Russia, which had the modernist type of the economy and the nature of complex society.
