THE LAST HOUR: A Romance Thriller Novel

The person you trust most might be the one you should fear. Cynthia Sterling has nothing left to lose. Her sister Anna vanished six weeks ago, and the police have written her off as another missing person statistic. But Cynthia knows the truth-Anna was investigating something dangerous, and the powerful people she was about to expose made her disappear. Desperate and out of options, Cynthia walks into a seedy Chicago dive bar looking for the one man who can help her: Solomon Reid, a former detective who's been drowning in guilt and whiskey ever since his partner was murdered. Solomon wants nothing to do with her. He's spent six months trying to forget his past, trying to bury the memory of his partner's dying words. But when Cynthia shows him a photograph of the man who destroyed his life, everything changes. Now Solomon is back in the game, hunting the same monster who's been terrorizing Cynthia's family for decades. But as they dig deeper into a conspiracy that stretches from the foundation's boardroom to the city's darkest shadows, they uncover secrets that threaten to tear them apart-and a truth that could get them both killed. In the final hour, the only thing more dangerous than the truth is love itself.
