The Laurel & Hardy Movie Scripts, Volume 3: Stan's Personal Papers

Explore the creation of some of Laurel & Hardy's finest work, culled from the personal archives of Stan Laurel. "The Laurel & Hardy Movie Scripts Volume 3: Stan's Personal Papers" presents priceless, never-before-published documents created between 1914 and 1954 for 15 productions. Get your first look at Stan Laurel's stage script of his sketch "The Nutty Burglars," screenplays to some of his funniest films with Oliver Hardy, and finally his script for their final show together: "Birds of a Feather." There are also screenplays for two unproduced shorts: the ship-board comedy "Live Bait" and the two-reeler series Ollie nearly made without Stan, "The Hardy Family." The filmed scripts differ substantially from the finished movies, with fascinating and hilarious scenes that were never shot. Plus, L&H expert Randy Skretvedt describes the changes and adds behind-the-scenes details on each film's production and cast.
