the Lies We Love: Why Human Heart Prefers Deception Over Biblical Truth

We live in a world filled with spiritual noise - opinions, traditions, emotions, and teachings that sound right but quietly pull us away from Christ. The Lies We Love is a practical, pastoral guide to biblical discernment, exposing the lies that shape modern Christianity and revealing the truth that sets us free.Through a gentle narrative and clear teaching, the book explores the lies of comfort, tradition, self-righteousness, emotional guidance, delegated holiness, and more. It shows how deception enters the church through familiar phrases, inherited beliefs, and spiritual shortcuts that feel safe but lead us away from the heart of Jesus. You'll learn the seven biblical tests of truth - Scripture, Christ's nature, fruit, context, witness, spirit, and freedom - and how to apply them to sermons, doctrines, spiritual experiences, and your own beliefs. These tests give every believer a simple, trustworthy way to recognize God's voice in a confusing age.The final section uncovers the seven heads of Revelation - Egypt, Assyria, Babylon, Medo-Persia, Greece, Rome, and Pagan Rome - and the lies each left behind. Their influence still echoes in the modern church, and understanding them brings clarity, confidence, and freedom.Perfect for personal study, small groups, and anyone longing for deeper discernment, The Lies We Love offers a gentle, steady path into spiritual clarity - helping believers walk in truth with the One who sets us free.
