After a Halloween house party spirals into a bloody massacre, five Beverly High students are accused of the murders due to prior allegations and suspicious connections. Detective Jenkins and Detective Sanchez are assigned to the case and work tirelessly to solve the mystery, convinced that the most popular girls in the school, Maggie, Donna, Shannon, Shelly, and Claire, are the perpetrators. It appears the detectives are on the right track. The girls grow increasingly private and protective, refusing to speak about certain topics and claiming not to remember valuable information, as if hiding something significant. They appear guilty. Even the sweetest of them will not break. All fingers point to the leader of the pack, Maggie. She has something on the other girls, some big secret. They refuse to go against her, which only makes the detectives dig harder and deeper. Although the girls are suspects in the Halloween Horror, they remain poised, composed, and firm in their innocence. The detectives insist otherwise, all the way up until they are arrested and taken into custody. It isn't until the big showdown, not until graduation day that the truth finally reveals itself, as it always does... If Maggie didn't make the suggestion... If Donna didn't go to see him... If they hadn't taken the trip... Maybe, just maybe, things would have played out differently... Unfortunately, that is something that we will never know. Ashes to ashes, dust to dust...
